1. Police Report:
Decided to take item 10 on agenda first as PC Jack had other meeting.

Money now received for 2 workers for 1 night ie, 1 ½ h on Wednesdays from 21 Apr 10- June 2010 for Hermitage Park School Play Ground. PC Jack had met with K McKaskill (MSP). £!000 received would be put into C Council account and would debit us. Also approached town ask help with waterproof clothing.

During snow and cold, crime has fallen, less trouble with prostitutes on Links, no further incidence of cars at path bowling green/allotments at Links.

PC Jack advised us he is moving to mew post within police and we would get new beat bobby.

2. Matters Arising:
A. Seafield.
Since work started on site November no reports of odour. Liaison meeting 22 Jan 10.

B. Housing and Built Environment
Coal Hill and Perniefield Bank- waiting on play equipment.
CCTV £20,000 earmarked for this, but Police have alternative- mobile unit controlled by Leith Police Station, also cost £20,000 not sure whether we could get mobile unit Cables Wynd Close- aerials on roof, get rental of £9000/year- use to do flower beds if can get funds.

C. Leith Links Regeneration Meeting (15 Jan 10)
AW, AT, Clr Thomas
Discussed notice boards- one at foot of Restalrig Road, litter bins, benches (some in storage), bowling green changing rooms underused. Fencing collapsed- new approach football & Leith Franklin cricket- next meeting 16 Apr 10.
April is national clean-up month. Suggest 24 Apr from 10-2pm for us. AM will speak at open NP on 10 March re this.

D. Mela
JS had received new plan for lay out on L Links. Similar to last but leaving out Children’s play area. But edge of football pitches takes away main thru’ access Restalrig Rd/ John’s Place.
Concern for parking permits Links Place discussed.

3. Website.
AM reported still ongoing. http://leithlinkscc.org.uk/

4. Biomass Power Plant Leith Docks.
Forth Energy- part of Forth Ports plans for biomass plant within dock area- maps received showing lay out and will be followed by public consultations.

5. Cold Leith.
On agenda in view of long cold spell with no rubbish collections, not enough roads or pavements fritted plus no gritting bins on main roads of at bus stops..

6. New Chemist.
JS, MM, & MT had all had contact by chemist asking whether we would support new facility at old RS McColl shop in Restalrig Road op Alemoor Park which has surgery-only 1 contact made to us so far.

7. Weekly Planning Lists.
Circulated.

8. Treasurer’s Report.
Current ac £856.47; deposit ac £1420.10 as at 18 Jan 10.

9. AOCB.
ALW intimated leaving Leith end of March. Moving to London. We wish her well and thanked her for her time on CC and work as chairperson and help with typing of minutes.

12 Bus from 9 Jan 10 now rerouted turn at Seafield St.
